For the second straight year the DAV and FLW Outdoors Wal-Mart Open shared the Embassy Suites for our respective events. Irwin Jacobs addressed the DAV Convention and pledged the continued support of the DAV, and its outdoors program. While DAV members buckled down and completed the business put in front of them, they also enjoyed the events at the FLW Family Fun Zone. Members met many of the professional Fishermen and Fishermen at the Fun Zone. On Saturday DAV National 1st Junior Vice Commander Bobby Barrera was introduced by Charlie Evans during the taping of FLW Outdoors, weigh-in to be played on Fox Sports Net on Sunday July 13th at 10:00 am (central), the standing ovation for Bobby was the largest and the longest of the day. In celebration of Armed Forces Day three National Guardsmen were awarded the Bronze Star to another huge ovation for the audience. Sunday morning a few DAV members were special guests at the take off site on Beaver Lake for the final ten fishermen competing in the tournament for $200,000 first place prize. After the take off, FLW Pros Eric Ambort and Tim Johnson took Bobby and newly elected Commander James Parker out fishing on Beaver Lake. Everyone had a great time on the lake. On Sunday DAV Members watched an exciting final weigh in and had a chance to win a Ranger Boat that was given away to a lucky audience member in attendance. We would like to thank Irwin Jacobs, Charlie Evans, and especially Dave Washburn for all of their hospitality to the DAV and its members at the Wal-Mart Open.

| 2nd Annual Tournament Huge Success! |
The DAV would like to congratulate all the winners, and thank all of you that fished our tournament. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors. Without your support, this tournament would not be possible. The city of Russellville was an outstanding location and very supportive sponsor of the tournament. Gold Country played a wonderful concert to entertain the crowd until the weigh-in began and drew a fantastic crowd to the event.
Thank you Arkansas Tech University, the Army ROTC program and the Tech Fishing club for helping us during the event. The National Guard climbing wall and exhibits entertained kids and promoted the partnership between the DAV and the National Guard. We would like to extend a special thank you to Gary Watts, President of the National Wild Turkey Federation, for their sponsorship and donation at the tournament to help kickoff the partnership between the DAV and the NWTF Wheelin' Sportsman program. The Dardanelle State Park Staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make our event a success. Thank you Andy, Dallas and the entire team at the park.
Without the support and promotion of Ranger Boats this tournament would not exist. We want to thank Forrest Wood for being a part of our tournament and meeting fans and signing lots of autographs. FLW Outdoors have been outstanding advisors and supporters of our tournament. Thank you to Keith Daffron for making sure all of the last minute behind the scenes things happened and for being here from the beginning. The DAV had a lot of fun and met many new friends, and we look forward to next year's tournament. There were many people who helped bring us fishermen at the last minute, and we greatly appreciate all of you who helped us get the word out to all of our participants.

| FLW Outdoors Honored for Service to Veterans |
The Department of Arkansas presented FLW Outdoors host Charlie Evans and Forrest Wood with a trophy. The trophy was presented for outstanding support and service to both Active Duty Veterans and Disabled Veterans. Last May Professional Fishermen from the FLW Tour took eight Disabled Veterans fishing on Beaver Lake, during the FLW Wal-Mart Open. Members of the DAV were treated as VIP guests by FLW during the event. In August FLW invited the DAV to the 2007 Forrest Wood Cup to promote the activities of the DAV. Thousands of people were given information on Veteran benefits, DAV membership, and many took advantage of on site claims help. It was an amazing experience watching local pro Scott Suggs be the first to win the first one million dollar top prize.
